Fariborz Sahba
Fariborz Sahba ( Persian فریبرز صهبا, Born March 21, 1948 in Mashhad ) is an Iranian - Canadian architect and follower of the Baha'i religion. He designed the terraces at the Shrine of Bab and the visitor center in the Bahai World Center in Haifa , the House of Worship in New Delhi known as the Lotus Temple , and the Iranian Embassy in Beijing , People's Republic of China .
After graduating in architecture from the University of Tehran in 1972, he was involved in a number of projects, including the House of Culture and the Academy of Fine Arts in Sanandaj in the western Iranian province of Kordestān .
When the persecution of the Baha'i intensified after the Islamic Revolution of 1979 , he had to leave his home country and relocated to Vancouver , Canada. He is friends with his colleague Hossein Amanat , who also lives in Vancouver.
