Otto Bömers

Heinrich Friedrich Otto Bömers (born February 20, 1857 in Frille ; † August 26, 1922 ) was a German lawyer and chairman of the state government (Prime Minister) of Schaumburg-Lippe .

Life

As the son of Dr. P. Bömers and his wife Anna Aschoff from Herford attended the grammar school in Herford from 1868 to 1877. He then studied law in Göttingen , Tübingen and Berlin . He completed his legal traineeship in Hanover . He passed the 1st legal exam in Celle , the 2nd in Oldenburg . This was followed by work as an assessor at the public prosecutor's office and employment as a legal assistant in the Ministry of Schaumburg-Lippe.

In 1893 he was promoted to government councilor. On October 1, he became State Councilor in the Feilitzsch Ministry and remained so after the abdication of Adolf II. Prince zu Schaumburg-Lippe on November 15, 1918. From 1919 to 1922 he was State Councilor and Chairman of the State Government (in fact Prime Minister ) of Schaumburg- Lip. He was appointed to the Reichsrat in 1921.

He was married to Martha Kellner, daughter of Major K. Kellner and his wife Antonie Bach. Most recently he lived in Bückeburg .
