Otto drug

Otto Droge (born September 7, 1885 in Guben ; † February 25, 1970 in Leipzig ) was a German architect .

Life

Droge studied at the Technical University of Braunschweig and the Technical University of Hanover , but finished his training without a regular degree. He had been based in Leipzig since 1912 at the latest, and worked there as a freelance architect from 1919 to 1951. Some public buildings of Droges from the 1920s have been preserved or restored / reconstructed.

  • 1919–1920: Concentra-Haus (originally the Concentra exhibition center, a sales company of the Nuremberg Bing-Werke founded in 1917 ) in Leipzig, Petersstrasse 26 / corner of Sporergäßchen
  • 1923–1925: Administration building for the Leipzig General Local Health Insurance Fund , Willmar-Schwabe-Strasse 2-4
  • 1924: Entrance zone of the underground exhibition center on the market in Leipzig (made of Rochlitzer porphyry )
  • published 1926: Draft for a factory for Anton Jacob (location unknown)
  • published 1926: draft "Jagdschloss K. for Mr. Hofrat W."
  • published 1926: urban planning competition design for the development of Bismarckplatz in Innsbruck (award-winning)
  • 1928–1929: Book printing school in Leipzig, Gutenbergplatz 8 (today " Gutenberg School ", vocational school center of the city of Leipzig)
  • 1932: Two-family house for the manufacturer Ernst Graichen in Leipzig, Kantstrasse 3
  • 1938: Conversions for Köllmann-Werke AG in Leipzig-Sellerhausen, Torgauer Straße 80
