Otto Flöl

Friedrich Adolf Otto Flöl (born April 24, 1887 in Weimar , † 1959 in Bad Segeberg ) was a German politician ( DP , later CDU ).

Life and work

Flöl studied law and was a member of the Corps Saxonia Jena (1906), Saxonia Halle (1929) and Saxonia Frankfurt am Main. He became a judge and president of a regional court . In the Weimar Republic he represented an indictment against Kurt Frieders as a public prosecutor in 1925 . From 1928 to 1933 he was public prosecutor in Greiz , 1940 chief public prosecutor of the special court of Thuringia .

Flöl joined the National Socialist German Workers' Party on March 1, 1928 and was the bearer of the blood order . He was previously a member of the DNVP . He was a member of the National Socialist Lawyers' Association , the National Socialist People's Welfare , the German Air Sports Association , the NS-Luftschutzbund and SA-Sturmführer . He was the holder of the golden party badge of the NSDAP and the holder of the "Silver Thuringian Eagle of the Oldest Thousand".

Flöl sat in the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament from 1950 to 1954 . Originally elected for the German party, he left it on April 23, 1952. He joined the CDU on February 1, 1953 and represented the Segeberg-Nord constituency in parliament. From April 22, 1952 until the end of the legislative period he was chairman of the judiciary committee of the state parliament. The Landtag elected him a member of the 2nd Federal Assembly , which on July 17, 1954 re-elected Theodor Heuss as Federal President.
