Otto Group
Otto Gruppe (born July 18, 1851 in Berlin ; † November 27, 1921 there ) was a German classical scholar and high school teacher.
Gruppe, son of the philosopher Otto Friedrich Gruppe , studied at Berlin University , where he received his doctorate on January 29, 1873. In 1874 he passed the state examination in Greek, Latin, German and history. From 1876 until his retirement in 1915 he worked at the Askanisches Gymnasium in Berlin. Scientifically, he mainly dealt with questions of the ancient history of religion.
