Otto Hornek

Otto Hornek (born June 4, 1967 in Hall in Tirol ) is an Austrian trombonist , composer and arranger .

Live and act

After attending the music schools in Hall in Tirol and Innsbruck, Hornek studied at the Tyrolean Conservatory in Innsbruck and at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg with Dany Bonvin . His career took him through numerous master classes with Branimir Slokar and Dave Taylor in leading orchestras in Austria, where he was engaged as a freelance musician, as well as with the brass quintet Harmonic Brass , where he played trombone from 2002 to 2004 and as arranger and from 2004 to 2012 Composer was active. Numerous CD recordings document his skills both as a trombonist and as an arranger for brass ensembles and wind orchestras.

Hornek now lives in Hall in Tirol and works in the orchestra office of the Tyrolean Symphony Orchestra Innsbruck. He is also Kapellmeister of the Speckbacher Stadtmusik Hall in Tirol and musical director of Brass Connection Tirol and the BlasCapelle Tirol.
