Otto II von Königsmarck

Otto II von Königsmarck (* 1428 ; † August 20, 1501 ) was Bishop of Havelberg from 1494 to 1501 .

Life

Otto comes from the Altmark noble family Königsmarck . He was since 1488 dean elected by Havelberg and was in 1493 a bishop. The confirmation by the Pope took place on January 31, 1494, the episcopal ordination by Dietrich von Bülow , the Bishop of Lebus, on September 28, 1494.

The Synodal statutes that have been handed down from his term of office of 1494 and 1496 deal, among other things, with the residence obligation of the pastor and questions about holidays. He was electoral Brandenburg councilor and governor of Prignitz. Otto died on August 20, 1501, his tombstone is in the Havelberg Cathedral .
