Otto IV of Rietberg
Otto, Count von Rietberg († 1406 in Petershagen ) was Otto IV. From 1403 until his death in 1406 Bishop of Minden . He was the youngest son of Count Otto II von Rietberg and his wife Adelheid zur Lippe .
After the death of Minden Bishop Wilhelm II von Buchen , the Minden cathedral chapter wanted the local provost Gerhard von Berg , brother of the Paderborn prince-bishop and Count von Ravensberg Wilhelm, as a successor. Pope Boniface IX did not agree, so that a year-long sedis vacancy followed. On March 17, 1403 Otto IV was finally appointed Bishop of Minden.
Otto IV died in Petershagen in 1406 and was buried in Minden Cathedral next to the St. Matthew altar.
