Otto König (politician)

Otto Karl Christian König (born October 18, 1821 in Stadthagen , † October 16, 1893 in Bückeburg ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a judicial officer, König studied law in Jena and Heidelberg after attending the Bückeburg high school . During his studies in Jena in 1839 he became a member of the society on the Burgkeller and in 1839/40 of the fraternity on the Fürstenkeller as well as the Academic Choral Society , which later became the singers of St. Pauli Jena . In 1843 he passed his exams and became an official auditor in the Bückeburg-Arensburg office . From 1849 to 1859 he was also entrusted with the secretariat of the railway commission as an official assessor . In 1859 he became finance advisor and, as such, manager of the railway commission. In 1870 he became a consultant and lawyer for the Princely Schaumburg-Lippische Hofkammer in Bückeburg. In 1872 he was promoted to Chamber Council and a member of the Chamber. In 1875 he became a Privy Councilor, and in 1885, as President of the Chamber, head of the administration of the Princely Schaumburg-Lippische Hofkammer. He was also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Lower Saxony Bank. König was also a member of the Schaumburg-Lippische Landtag.
