Otto Reschke
Otto Reschke (born September 9, 1941 in Gladbeck ) is a German former miner and politician ( SPD ).
Life
In 1956 Reschke began as a mountain apprentice. He later became a squire , hauer and shooting master and finally a pit climber . After retraining, he became an engineer at the Rhineland Regional Council in 1966 . In 1967 he joined the SPD, where he was managing director of the Essen sub-district from 1970 to 1980 .
MP
From 1969 to 1973 Reschke was represented in the district council of Düsseldorf-Mettmann . From 1975 to 1980 he sat on the Essen city council. From 1980 to 1998 Reschke was a member of the German Bundestag . He represented the Essen I constituency as a directly elected member.
Otto Reschke is considered a sponsor of the SPD MP Petra Hinz .
