Otto Schwerdgeburth
Otto Schwerdgeburth (born March 5, 1835 in Weimar ; † December 22, 1866 there ) was a German painter . Schwerdgeburth is the son of Carl August Schwerdgeburth from his second marriage. He was a student of his father and Friedrich Preller and from 1856 to 1860 at the Antwerp Academy . From 1860 he worked in Weimar, from 1865 to 1866 in Rome. His painting is influenced by Ferdinand Pauwels .
Pictures by Otto Schwerdgeburth hang in the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum in Cologne, in the Kunsthalle Bremen and in the Hofmuseum Weimar .
