Otto Stöber

Otto Stöber (born July 18, 1902 in Hermesdorf ( North Moravia ), † October 25, 1990 in Linz ) was a Moravian - Austrian author .

In 1920, Otto Stöber founded the “Free Radio Association” in Linz, knowing that the new medium of radio would have a promising future . One year after the first radio station on Freinberg went into operation in Linz (1928), Stöber initiated a radio school and became the publisher of the radio magazine “Volksfunk”.

In 1945 Otto Stöber initiated the moor research institute on the Neydhartinger Moor in Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting .

Otto Stöber, to whom the title Prof. e. H. was awarded, published numerous books and is an honorary citizen of the market town of Wimsbach-Neydharting.
