Otto Stielow

Otto Wolf Stielow (born May 4, 1831 at Gut Maethlow ; † June 20, 1908 in Hildesheim ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Otto Stielow studied law at the University of Halle . In 1851 he became a member of the Corps Marchia Halle . After completing his studies, he entered the Prussian civil service and completed the government traineeship in Magdeburg from 1859 to 1861. In 1861 he passed the government assessor exam. From 1864 to 1903 he was district administrator for the district of Quedlinburg . He made special contributions to the preservation of the Teufelsmauer natural monument by forbidding the community of Weddersleben to use it as a quarry in 1867 . Most recently he lived in Hildesheim .
