Möthlow lies at a height of 31 m above sea level. NHN about 4.5 kilometers southwest of Bundesstraße 5 on the connecting road between Bundesstraße 5 and Brandenburg an der Havel via Buschow, Barnewitz and Marzahne on Landesstraße 99 and 2 kilometers north of the ICE route Berlin-Hanover . history

Möthlow was first mentioned in a document in 1307. The image of the village of Möthlow is characterized by an estate with its own small farms and farm workers' houses, which has not changed to this day. The simple half-timbered church from 1604 is one of the oldest buildings in the village.
