Buschow lies at a height of 32 m above sea level. NHN west of the Ribbecker Heide and the Hinterbehnitzer Heide.
The town, located about 6.5 kilometers southwest of Bundesstraße 5 , can be reached via the connecting road between Bundesstraße 5 and Brandenburg an der Havel via Retzow , Barnewitz and Marzahne on Landesstraße 99 or via its own train station on the Berlin – Rathenow line . The place has an area of 11.40 km² and with 383 inhabitants a population density of 38 inhabitants / km².
history
Buschow was first mentioned in 1256 and was always a typical street village on the road from Marzahne to Retzow away from the major highways. Buschow was the estate of the Lords of Knoblauch.
Buschow has been part of the Märkisch Luch community since December 31, 2002 .
politics
The honorary mayor and mayor of the Märkisch Luch community is Rudi Marquardt († October 13, 2013) (non-party). The current mayor is Frank Hellmann.
Worth seeing
Worth seeing are the hunting and local history museum and the village church as well as the Bolchow moor in the vicinity.
Located on the edge of the Havelländisches Luch nature reserve , Buschow is a magnet for ornithologists to observe the rare Great Bustard .
