Otto Tellmann (born May 22, 1927 in Agnita ; † January 10, 2013 in Germany ) was a Romanian handball player and coach.

Tellmann played handball in Agnetheln from 1945. In 1949 he joined the CCA Army Club, which was later renamed Steaua Bucharest . Here Tellmann initially played in goal and became field player due to the great competition. With the army club he won the national championship several times. From 1957 Tellmann was a member of the Romanian national team , with which he won the 1961 World Cup.

Tellmann took over as coach of Voinţa Bucharest after his career ended. When he won a prestigious tournament for Bucharest clubs with Voinţa, he was signed by Steaua. Tellmann initially looked after the team together with Olimpiu Nodea. After Nodea ended his coaching activity, he trained the team alone for two years. When the player Cornel Oțelea ended his active career, this took over the coaching position of Steaua.

In 1985 Tellmann did not return to Romania after a visit to Germany. At first he coached a women's team in Nuremberg. Between 1986 and 2002, Tellmann looked after the men's and youth teams at TV Bötzingen. He died on January 10, 2013 and was buried in Fürth .
