Otto Veraguth

Otto Veraguth (born May 13, 1870 in Chur ; † December 17, 1944 in Zurich ) was a Swiss neurologist and promoter of sports medicine and physiotherapy .

Life

After attending school in Chur, Otto Veraguth completed a medical degree in Zurich and Heidelberg . In 1895 he was in Zurich for MD PhD . There he also completed his advanced training as a neurologist and qualified as a professor in 1900. From 1918 to 1940 he worked and researched as a professor of physical therapy at the University of Zurich on methods of naturopathy . From 1922 to 1924 he was President of the Swiss Neurological Society .

He was co-author of the neurological chapters of the first two editions in the manual of internal medicine from Springer-Verlag.
