Otto Wilkens (born October 22, 1907 in Stelle ; † May 25, 1999 in Lüneburg ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ) and SA leader.

Live and act

After attending elementary school and the state advanced training school, Otto Wilkens earned his living as a bank clerk.

In November 1928 Wilkens began to get involved in the NSDAP ( membership number 103,938) as an SA leader. On November 15, 1933, he became the leader of the SA Standard 428. At the same time, he was appointed representative of the SA leaders at the District Office. On November 1, 1933, Wilkens took over the office of 1st Senator for Winsen .

On April 1, 1935, Wilken was appointed leader of SA Standard 77 in Celle , where he also performed the duties of a city council. On May 15, 1937 he was entrusted with the leadership of SA Brigade 57 in Göttingen . In the SA he achieved the rank of brigade leader.

Wilkens became a member of the Prussian state parliament in 1933 . From November 12, 1933 until the end of Nazi rule in spring 1945, Wilkens also sat as a member of the NSDAP in the National Socialist Reichstag , in which he represented constituency 16 (southern Hanover-Braunschweig).

On January 30, 1938, Hitler awarded him the NSDAP's Golden Decoration . From 1939 Wilkens took part in the Second World War as a soldier .
