production

With the film, Ruxandra Ghițescu makes her directorial debut in a feature film. She developed the script in 2016 as part of Berlinale Talents . While looking for suitable stories, the filmmaker came across those of a young punk. She had found the interview with Otto, whose real name is Octavian Albu, in a magazine a few years earlier, met him and wanted to know more about the punk movement. Albu was also present during the filming. After completing his philosophy degree, Albu studied audio engineering at the National University of Theater and Film Arts .

Marc Titieni or Marc Simion Titieni, the son of actors Adrian Titieni and Adriana Irimescu , took over the title role from Otto. The shooting took place in spring 2019, for example in the Colegiului Național “Sfântul Sava” in Bucharest. Ana Drăghici acted as camerawoman .

The film was shown for the first time at the Sarajevo Film Festival in mid-August 2020 . The online edition took place via the in-house festival VoD platform.
