The Ounasjoki [ ˈɔu̯nɑsjɔki ] is a right tributary of the Kemijoki , which has its source in the Finnish part of Lapland . It comes from the Ounasjärvi south of the village of Hetta ( Enontekiö ). From there, the Ounasjoki first flows eastwards and then makes a sharp curve that allows it to continue flowing east of the Pallas- Ounastunturi massif in a southeastern direction.
The Ounasjoki is one of the longest rivers in Finland; it flows into the Kemijoki in Rovaniemi .
