Out-of-State Plates is the fourth album by the American band Fountains of Wayne . This is not a regular studio album, but a compilation consisting of all B-sides published up to 2005 , previously only on compilations or unpublished songs and two new pieces. The recordings therefore stretch from 1994, when the band had another name and played in a different formation, until 2005.
Although Out-of-State Plates consists almost entirely of material that hadn't made it onto previous albums, most of the reviews were positive. Their B-sides and rarities are better than 95 percent of most bands , it said on CNN Online.
No song was officially released as a single , but the new track Maureen went to radio stations as a promo CD with a title .
