Outsiders is an American television series . The first season consisted of 13 episodes and was broadcast from January 26, 2016 on WGN America . On March 11, 2016, the series was extended by a second season, which again includes 13 episodes. The broadcast of this began on January 24, 2017. On April 14, 2017, the broadcasting station announced that it would not order any further episodes of the series, whereby the series ends with the finale of the second season. The reason for this is the sale of the station's parent company to a new owner, for whom the costs of the series are too high, which is why, in addition to Outsiders , Underground was discontinued.
