Ozona is a census-designated place (CDP) and the seat of the county seat in Crockett County in the US state of Texas with 3225 inhabitants (2010).

The Interstate 10 highway runs right through Ozona . Austin is 380 kilometers to the east and El Paso is around 500 kilometers to the west.
history
The place was founded in 1891 under the name Powell Well . The country founder EM Powell acted as namesake. After the election, the administrative center of the County, the place was because of its clear, sometimes ozone-related air in Ozona renamed. Because of the forest and game-rich environment, the place is a magnet for hunters then as now. In particular, white-tailed deer and peccaries are hunted.
In Ozona is a very small town where people like to but as applied in Texas, many terms with the suffix "large" ( big equipped). So this place is nicknamed The Biggest Little Town in the World ( The Biggest Little Town in the World ).
