Pál Lakatos (born June 7, 1968 in Vásárosnamény ) is a former Hungarian light flyweight boxer .

Career

The 1.62 m tall left boom won the silver medal at the 1993 European Championships in Bursa , as well as a bronze medal each at the 1991 European Championships in Gothenburg , the 1998 European Championships in Minsk and the 2000 European Championships in Tampere .

At world championships he reached the quarter-finals in Sydney in 1991 , in Tampere in 1993 and in Houston in 1999 , the round of 16 in Budapest in 1997 and the preliminary round in Berlin in 1995 .

He also won medals in international tournaments in Greece, Germany, England, Finland, the Czech Republic and Hungary, among others. At the Olympic Games in 1992 he reached the 5th place and at the Olympic Games in 2000 the 9th place.

from 2001 to 2004 he played 18 professional fights in Poland, Spain, France, Hungary, Germany, Slovakia and Italy.
