The Pônsul ( Portuguese Rio Pônsul ) is a river in the center of Portugal that flows entirely through the Castelo Branco district . It rises near the municipality of Penha Garcia , flows past the small town of Idanha-a-Nova and flows into the Tejo about one kilometer above the Cedillo dam .
