PC Hooftstraat towards Vondelpark

The PC Hooftstraat in the district of Oud-Zuid in Amsterdam is one of the most expensive shopping streets of the Dutch capital. It got its name from Pieter Corneliszoon Hooft , a Dutch poet .

It is home to more elegant shops selling luxury designer goods, perfumes , jewelry , art and antiques than any other street in the Dutch capital . International fashion brands such as Burberry , Gucci , Prada , Giorgio Armani , Ralph Lauren , Louis Vuitton , Yves Saint Laurent , Hermès , Chanel and many more have set up their branches on this street. It starts west at Vondelpark and then leads about 700 meters east to the street “Stadhouderskade”.

The nearest tram stops are to the east at the Rijksmuseum and to the west at Van Baerlestraat.
