The PFK Montana ( Bulgarian ПФК Монтана ) is a football club in Montana that currently plays in the second highest Bulgarian league, the B Grupa . The Bulgarian soccer player Stilijan Petrow began his career at PFK Montana.
history
The club was founded on March 20, 1947 under the name FC Christo Michailow . Between 1957 and 1990 the club played under the name FC Septemwrijska Slawa . The association has been called PFK Montana since 1990.
Until the promotion in 2009, the PFK Montana played three seasons (1994-1997) in the A Grupa . The club's best A Grupa placement so far was ninth in the 1995/96 season.
