The PG-1 class ( Japanese 1 号 型 ミ サ イ ル 艇 , 1-gōgata misairutei ) was a class of three missile speedboats of the Japanese Sea Self-Defense Forces (JMSDF) . It is a Japanese license production of the Italian Sparviero class and differs from this mainly in its different armament. Originally four units were planned, but after the first three copies, the procurement was stopped. In 2002 they were replaced by the Hayabusa class , which has a conventional hull shape.
