LEDA / PGC 2861 is an irregular galaxy of Hubble type I in the constellation Cetus south of the ecliptic and is approximately 178 million light-years from the Milky Way center. Together with six other galaxies, it forms the NGC 271 group ( LGG 13 ).
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 259 and NGC 271 .
