The POHÉV Cmg 1610-1613 were electric railcars of the Pozsony Országhatárszéli Helyiérdekű Villamos Vasút (POHÉ.V.), which were used on the Bratislava city line of the Bratislava Railway .

history

The railcar 20.104 in 1984

In addition to the overland route operated with alternating current, the electric local railway Vienna - Pressburg also ran two city routes with direct current. For the Bratislava city line, the local railway procured four two-axle direct current railcars with the designation Cmg 1610-1613 in 1913 , which resembled the Hungarian tram vehicles in Budapest at the time . The Bratislava railcars were painted yellow.

The railcars procured for the Vienna city route differed significantly from the Pressburg railcars, but were also referred to as Cmg .

After the standard gauge line from Pressburg to the state border had been converted to meter gauge in 1936, the railcars 1610, 1611 and 1613 were also re-gauged and added to the stock of the Pressburg tram . After 1945, the cars received new car bodies similar to the other Bratislava tram motor cars and the numbers 10 to 14, including a motor car converted from a former Bratislava sidecar.

The railcar 1612 remained in the Kopčany remise and was sold in 1941 as a standard-gauge vehicle to the company Stern & Hafferl , which also re-gauged it and initially designated AM 4 , from 1947 with 20.101 and from 1953 with 20.104 on the Vöcklamarkt – Attersee local railway , where the vehicle is still available today for nostalgic trips.
