Logo of the Stern & Hafferl transport company
The Stern & Hafferl Verkehrsgesellschaft (StH) has a diverse fleet of vehicles.
Brand-new rolling stock was procured for all railways operated by Stern & Hafferl after the start of operations . After a few years, additional - also new - vehicles were procured to relieve the existing vehicle fleet. Most of the vehicle fleet was not modernized until after the Second World War - only a few used vehicles were purchased from other railway companies . In contrast to the early years, the vehicle fleet was rejuvenated by taking over used vehicles from other railway companies, which were adapted in the workshops (Vorchdorf and Eferding) for operation on the Stern & Hafferl routes (vehicles taken over are shown with ex in the column " Comments ”). After the Florianerbahn and the Unterach – See electric railway on Mondsee were closed, the vehicles available there were either sold, scrapped or used on other Stern & Hafferl routes.
In 1962, a new vehicle for the first time again Gmundner streetcar purchased - the locomotive GM 8. In 1989, the received local railway Lambach-Haag am Hausruck two new vehicles procured by ÖBB and the series 4855 are referred to (Stern & Hafferl -Designation: 25.103-104). The Linzer local railway received 2,001 new low-floor vehicles of the type Stadler GTW , which were classified as ET 22,151 to 22,164. From 2015 to 2017, the Valencia plant, which was Vossloh Kiepe until 2016 and has been part of the Stadler company since then , delivered 11 articulated trams of the type Tramlink for the meter-gauge railways, three of which are stationed on the Attergaubahn and the other eight are in service on the Traunseetram, which was created in 2018 from the connection of the Traunseebahn and Gmunden tram . The first seven railcars still have the word "vossloh" on the outside, the last four no longer.
The eventful history of vehicles, which was influenced by the factors listed in the respective articles about the Stern & Hafferl railways , is reflected in detail in the following tables. The names of the vehicles correspond to the current Stern & Hafferl numbering scheme .
