Pablo Daniel Piatti (born March 31, 1989 in La Carlota , Province of Córdoba ) is an Argentine football player .

Career

society

Pablo Piatti played for Estudiantes de La Plata from 2006 to 2008 . In the summer of 2008 he then moved to the Spanish first division UD Almería for around seven million euros . For the 2011/12 season, Piatti moved to Valencia CF for a transfer fee of 7.5 million euros , where he signed a five-year contract. In 2016, Piatti switched to Espanyol Barcelona on loan for a year and joined them after the loan expired. In February 2020 Piatti moved to Canada to Toronto FC .

National team

Pablo Piatti was part of the U-20 national team that won the title at the 2007 Junior World Cup in Canada . He was one of the youngest players in the tournament and was featured in most of the games where he often played on the left side of midfield.

On June 5, 2011, Piatti made his debut for the Argentine national football team in a 2-1 defeat by Poland .
