The Pachacha ( Russian Пахача ) is a 293 km long tributary of the Bering Sea in the northeast of the Kamchatka region .

River course

The Pachatscha rises in the Korjakengebirge at an altitude of about 1200  m . It initially flows 180 km in a predominantly south-south-westerly direction through the mountains. At river kilometer 100 the Pylgowajam joins the Pachacha on the right. This turns to the east for the next 20 kilometers. At the confluence of the Mainylwygorgyn , the Pachatscha changes its course to the south. Srednije Pachatschi is located on the left bank of the river at 50 km . For its last 12 kilometers, the river runs parallel to the coast, separated from the sea by a narrow strip of land on which the village of Pachatschi lies. At the mouth of the Pachacha into the sea there is a lagoon-like bay.

The catchment area of the Pachacha is located in the Oljutorski district and covers an area of 11,700 km². It borders on that of the Apuka in the east . The mean discharge of the Pachacha is 300 m³ / s.
