Pai Reggae Festival 2009

The Pai Reggae Festival (also: Pai Reggae & Ska Music Festival , Thai มหกรรม ดนตรี เร ก เก้ แอนด์ สกา ) is the largest reggae and Ska festival in Thailand and was first held in 2006 in the Pai district of Mae Hong Son province in front of around 70,000 guests and since then has been held annually under the motto "We Be Jammin '".

history

2006

The first festival took place on January 14, 2006. The main attraction on the main stage was at first held the Thai reggae musician job Bunjob ( จ๊ อบ บรรจบ ) with his band job 2 do . the Chiang Mai Brothers , Roots Rock Reggae and Pai Fang & Pae Be Bongo also performed .

2007

In the second year, the event was held on January 12th and 13th. Again it was at vorderster location Job 2 Do , the Kai-Jo Brothers ( ไก่ โจ้ บรา เธ่ อ ร์ ) Zom ammara ( ส้ม อมรา ), Teddy Ska Band ( เท็ ด ดี้ สกา แบน ด์ ) and others.

2008

In 2008 the festival took place again for two days on January 11th and 12th and had the additional motto "Combat Global Warming - Keep Pai's Spirit Green". Also present were T-Bone ( ที โบ น ) meets Palmy ( ปาล์ม มี่ ) The Superglasses Ska Ensemble ( คณะ มโหรี ดนตรี สกา ), job 2 do , Cocotabo ( Japanese ここたぼオフィシャルサイト) from Japan , Teddy Ska Band , Srirajah Rockers ( ศรีราชา ร็ อก เกอร์ ) and the Kai-Jo Brothers .

2009

The fourth festival 2009 took place on January 24th and 25th under the additional title Green World Season + Music Festival . Have occurred, among others, T-Bone , Job 2 Do , Kai-Jo Brothers , Teddy Ska Band , The Exotic , The Superglasses Ska Ensemble , SomRomBand วง สม รม แบน ด์ , Backpacker , Gold Red ( กางเกง ยีน ส์ ), Woo Doo and Jelly Fish .

2010

The festival on January 29th and 30th 2010 included T-Bone , Kai-Jo Brothers , Teddy Ska Band , Gold Red , Aztonapai from Greece and the African band Impulse .

2011

With the additional title “The first Thai Rasta in the world”, the event lasted for the first time in 2011 over three days (January 21-23). Performers were, for example, Easy Star All-Stars from Jamaica, Sister Carol from Jamaica, T-Bone , Job 2 Do , Kai-Jo Brothers feat. Lanna Commins ( ลาน นา คั ม มิ น ส์ ), Teddy Ska Band , Tamone Band ( ทะ โมน แบน ด์ ), Zom Ammara and Ok Mocca .

2012

The seventh edition took place from January 27 to 29, 2012. Suga Roy & Conrad Crystal from Jamaica was the main attraction.

2013

In 2013 the reggae festival took place for the first time in December (13th to 15th December). You can see Job 2 Do , Teddy Ska Band , The Superglasses Ska Ensemble , Gold Red , Madagascar and Bone Fire , among others .
