Lanna Commins ( Thai ลาน นา คั ม มิ น ส์ , born November 3, 1983 in Bangkok ) is a Thai - Australian singer .

Life

Commin's father is from Australia , her mother is Soontaree Vechanont ( สุนทรี เว ชา นนท์ ), a well-known Thai folk singer who runs a restaurant in Chiang Mai . Commins has a brother and grew up in Australia for the first few years and from 1984 in Kuala Lumpur ( Malaysia ).

From 2003 to 2007 she was under contract with the well-known Thai label GMM Grammy , but then wanted to make her own music. Their music style was a fusion of pop rock and northern Thai folk music. After terminating her contract with GMM Grammy, she lost media attention. They only became aware of them again in early 2014, when Commins appeared in the anti-government protests in Ratchaprasong .
