Paloma Baeza

Paloma Baeza (born May 1, 1975 in London ) is a British film actress .

Life

Paloma Baeza grew up as the daughter of a British woman and a Mexican in the first years of her life in Mexico City , Mexico . In 1984, at the age of nine, after her parents divorced, she and her mother moved back to England, where she has lived in London ever since.

At the age of 19, Baeza starred in the short-lived television series Mud in 1994 , which was followed by a lead role in the thriller Look Me in the Eye directed by Nick Ward . She took on her first role, also known in German-speaking countries, in 1995 in Die Bibel - Josef , where she played Dina at the side of Martin Landau . In addition to a few television films in which Baeza was also known beyond the British national borders, her career was largely limited to British productions. In 2007 she starred in Sunshine , directed by Oscar winner Danny Boyle .

She studied English Language and Art at the University of Bristol .

In 2001, Paloma Baeza made her debut as director of the short film Watchmen ; her screenwriter was the actor Cillian Murphy . In 2006 and 2009 she was able to be won again as a director for an episode of a television series but also for the short film The Odds .

Today she lives in a partnership with the writer Alex Garland . They both have two children together.
