Panagiotis Mantis ( Greek Παναγιώτης Μάντης ; born September 30, 1981 in Athens ) is a Greek sailor .
successes
Panagiotis Mantis participated in the 470 dinghy at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in part. Together with Pavlos Kagialis he finished third with 58 points behind the Croatian and Australian boats and won the bronze medal. Although they were equal on points with Mathew Belcher and William Ryan , they ended the final medal race , which was decisive in the event of a tie, in tenth place, directly behind the two ninth-placed Australians. Mantis and Kagialis won bronze medals at World Championships in La Rochelle in 2013 and in Santander in 2014 .
