Pandurensteig

The Pandurensteig is a long-distance hiking trail of 173 km between Waldmünchen and Passau and leads in several stages through the Upper Palatinate Forest and the Bavarian Forest . The climb is intended to commemorate the route that the Pandurs took through the Bavarian Forest in their campaign in the War of the Austrian Succession in 1742 .

- Stage: Prackenbach - Patersdorf (18 km)
- Stage: Patersdorf - Rinchnach (24 km)
- Stage: Rinchnach - Spiegelau (17 km)
- Stage: Spiegelau - Perlesreut (26 km)
- Stage: Perlesreut - Fürsteneck (15 km)
- Stage: Fürsteneck - Passau (19 km)
The mark
The trail is marked by a saber on a red background, an allusion to the classic Pandur weapon.
