coat of arms

Description : Under a blue wave shield head and above a red three-mountain, covered with a bar roughened in two rows of blue and silver, in silver two red ibex horns facing away from each other.

The municipality justifies the content of the national emblem as follows: The ibex horns are the heraldic symbols of the Schälchl family in Krailing, who were named as owners of Hofmark and Krailing in the 15th and 16th centuries. The coat of arms represents the aristocratic families who can be traced as Hofmarksherren in Krailing or Moosbach in the municipality. As the owner of the Hofmark to Duke Albrecht III. from Bavaria. The roughened bar is therefore reminiscent of the coat of arms of the Nussberg family as well as the diamonds of the Wittelsbach family that were adopted by the Counts of Bogen. The Dreiberg symbolizes the location of the municipality on the stake in the Bavarian Forest, the head of the wave shield symbolizes the Höllenstein reservoir .
