Viechtach District Court
The district court Viechtach was a Bavarian district court (older order) that existed from 1803 to 1879 and was based in the city of Viechtach .

The area of today's Regen district with the towns of Regen and Viechtach belonged to Bavaria well before 1800. The place Vidaha is mentioned for the first time as early as 1104 when the Count von Bogen Friedrich III. the monastery Oberalteich here farmland transferred. In 1242 the property came to the Wittelsbachers , who set up a ducal nursing court for the Vichtreich , which existed until 1802. In 1803 the regional courts (older order) were established in Regen and Viechtach. The district court Viechtach initially belonged to the rain district , from 1810 to the Lower Danube district , to which the district court Regen belonged before. In 1838 the Lower Danube District was renamed Lower Bavaria. With the separation of administration and jurisdiction in the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1862, a district office was formed from each of the two regional courts . With the enactment of the Judicature Act on 1 October 1879 was next to the District Court Viechtach also Amtsgericht rain formed.
