The Panico Alpinverlag is a German publishing house based in Köngen , Baden-Wurttemberg.

history

Achim Pasold began self-publishing climbing guides for the Swabian Alb in 1980 and selling them through regional sports shops and bookshops. In 1984 he met Nico Mailänder while climbing, and together they founded Panico Alpinverlag in 1985. In the following years, they expanded the publishing program to include Germany-wide and international guides for climbers, mountain hikers, skiers and mountain bikers. Panico also publishes textbooks , fiction , comics and calendars on these topics.
