The Pankratz Bay is a bay on the west coast of Siple Island before Bakutis Coast of the West Antarctic Marie Byrd lands . It is just south of Lovill Bluff and opens out to Wrigley Gulf .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after Leroy William Pankratz (* 1941), geomagnetist and seismologist of the United States Antarctic Research Program on Byrd Station in 1965.
