Pannonian League

The Pannonian League ( Serbo-Croatian Panonska liga ) was a Southeast European ice hockey league , to which clubs from Serbia and Croatia belonged between 2007 and 2009 . In 2009 the game was stopped.

history

The transnational league was founded in 2002 and originally included clubs from Croatia, Hungary and Romania . The name of the competition is derived from the historical name Pannonia for regions of Southeast Europe.

In 2003 the Serbian-Montenegrin club HK Vojvodina Novi Sad was added to the league. The game was stopped a year later when the clubs from Hungary and Romania left the league. In 2007, games were resumed exclusively with teams from Croatia and Serbia. It was held parallel to the championships of the participating states and ended again in 2009.
