The armored brigade 104 was during the Second World War, an armored task force of the Wehrmacht .

history

Panzerbrigade 104 was set up at Fallingbostel in Lower Saxony on July 18, 1944 . The background to the formation was an order from the OKH on July 18, 1944 to re-establish 10 tank brigades. Before completion of the setup and training, the unit was relocated to the Eydtkau area in East Prussia in mid-August 1944 and used in the fight against Soviet units. In September and October 1944, the brigade was used in the defensive battle for East Prussia. After that, the brigade had to give some parts to other units and was relocated to the west. In November 1944 the unit was disbanded and its sub-units used to set up the 25th Panzer Division .
