The Paoay Lake National Park is located in the province of Ilocos Norte on the island of Luzon in the Philippines . The national park was established on June 11, 1978 on an area of 340 hectares in the Paoay metropolitan area around Lake Paoay. The national park is about 10 kilometers south of Laoag City and can be reached via the coastal road.
Lake Paoay has a size of 387.5 hectares and there are five barangays on its banks . At its deepest point, the lake is approx. 7.5 m deep and on average it is 3-5 meters deep.
