The Bangan Hill National Park is located in the province of Nueva Vizcaya on the island of Luzon in the Philippines . The national park was established on March 29, 1995 on an area of 139 hectares in the greater Bayombong municipalities . The national park is located in a valley in the Caraballo Mountains , on the banks of a tributary of the Magat River , near the Barangay Magsaysay in the greater municipality of Bayombong.
The national park serves to protect the historic and religiously significant pilgrimage site of the Station of the Cross , which has been an important spiritual center in the region since the mid-18th century. Near the national park is the Nueva Vizcaya State University campus .
