Nueva Vizcaya State University
The Nueva Vizcaya State University is located in the province of Nueva Vizcaya in the Philippines . It is considered to be a major educational institution in the Cagayan Valley administrative region . The university is divided into the campus on Quezon Street in Bayombong parish and the campus on Heroes Boulevard in Bambang . The campus in Bayombong has a size of 148.5 hectares and is located in Barangay Magsaysay, near Bangan Hill . The Bambang campus has an area of 14.21 hectares. In the second semester of 2011, 8,256 students enrolled at the university.

Nueva Vizcaya State University is home to ten different faculties , which are divided into higher education, technical and professional education. These include Administration, Agriculture, Arts, Design & Architecture, Business, Computer Science & Mathematics, Education, Engineering & Industrial Technology, Medical & Healthcare, Science & Social Science and Tourism & Hotel Administration.
history
The history of the university begins in 1916 when the Bayombong Rural School was the forerunner of today's educational institution. The expansion of the school began in 1930 with the opening of the high school area. After the Second World War , the training areas were split up in 1946 and the precursors of the Nueva Vizcaya State Institute of Technology and the Nueva Vizcaya State Polytechnic College were founded. The Bambang campus opened as Southern Nueva Vizcaya Junior High School in 1946. Both had a very dynamic development in the following years and the training programs were systematically expanded and renamed several times. In 1983 both training institutions were merged under a single administration. On March 20, 2004, when Republic Law 9272 came into force, the educational institution was given university status. Nueva Vizcaya State University received its current name on May 31, 2005.
