The Palawan State University (PSU) is a state university in the Philippines and is considered an important educational institution in the Philippines and in the Administrative Region MIMAROPA .

Locations

It has eleven locations in the province of Palawan , the main campus of the university is on Tiniguiban Heights in Puerto Princesa . The other locations are in Rizal , Narra , Araceli , Brooke's Point , Cuyo , Coron , Balabac , Roxas , Taytay and El Nido .

Courses

The Palawan State University houses various faculties , these are divided into higher education and technical school areas, as well as in professional training in institutes and colleges . These are the Colleges of Sciences, College of Business & Accountancy, College of Engineering, Architecture & Technology, College of Education, College of Arts & Humanities and the Laboratory High School. They offer the following training courses to obtain the following academic titles: Master of Arts in Education, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Education, Master of Business Administration, Doctor of Business Administration, Doctor of Education.

history

The forerunner of the university was founded in 1965 on the initiative of Congressman Gaudencio A. Abordo as Palawan Teachers College. The basis for this was the legislative initiative No. 9167 adopted by Diosdado Macapagal into Republic Law 4303. However, it was not until 1972 that the college could start work. On February 27, 1984, the college was upgraded and transferred to the Palawan State College. This enabled the college to offer courses in the arts, science and technology. On November 12, 1994, under Republic Law 7818, the college was transferred to Palawan State University.
