The University of De La Salle is a Roman Catholic private university founded in 1911 in Manila .
The university is run by the Brothers of the Christian Schools and is based in Malate , a district of Manila. It belongs to the De La Salle Philippines (DLSP) association, named after the French priest Jean Baptiste de La Salle . The university president is Armin Luistro FSC. Over 1,300 university members look after around 15,000 students.
