Cagayan State University
The Cagayan State University is located in the province of Cagayan in the Philippines . It is considered to be a major educational institution in the Cagayan Valley administrative region . The university is divided into eight locations in the municipalities of Tuguegarao City , Aparri , Gonzaga , Lal-lo , Lasam , Piat and in Sanchez-Mira . The university's headquarters are located on Andrews Campus, Barangay Caritan, in Tuguegarao City. In the second semester of 2011, 31,890 students enrolled at the university.
Faculties
The Cagayan State University is home to fifteen different faculties , these are divided into higher education and technical schools, as well as vocational training in colleges . These include the Colleges of Agriculture, Allied Health Sciences, Arts & Sciences, Business Entrepreneurship & Accountancy, Hospitality & Industry Management, Information & Computer Science, Education, Engineering, Fisheries, Law, Medicine & Surgery, Public Administration, Technology and Veterinary Medicine . The university has 50 buildings.
history
The university was founded on June 11, 1978 through the merger of the state educational institutions of the Cagayan Valley College of Arts & Trades in Tuguegarao and the Northern Luzon State College of Agriculture in Piat. Later in the year, the smaller state educational institutions were integrated into the university through incorporation into the state university program. These were the Aparri Institute of Technology, Bukig National Agricultural and Technical School, Aparri School of Arts and Trades, Cagayan Valley Agricultural College, Sanchez Mira Rural Vocational School, Western Cagayan School of Arts and Trades, and the Gonzaga National Agricultural and Technical School.
